H Connect processes personal information only for lawful purposes, including service activation, provisioning, billing, customer verification and fraud prevention, network maintenance and technical support, compliance with contractual obligations to Openserve, payment processing through Paystack, direct communications related to service updates or outages, and regulatory reporting where required by law.

We process personal information on one or more of the following lawful bases: performance of a contract, compliance with legal or regulatory obligations, legitimate interests of H Connect, and consent where applicable.
6. Disclosure of Information
We may share necessary information with Openserve for service fulfilment and fault management, Paystack for secure payment processing, authorised service providers performing installation, billing, or customer support, and regulators or law-enforcement agencies when legally required. We do not sell or rent customer data to third parties. All third parties are contractually bound to protect personal data in accordance with POPIA.
7. Data Storage and Security
H Connect implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction. Payment information handled by Paystack is encrypted and processed in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. H Connect does not store full card details on its servers. Customer information is stored securely within South Africa or in jurisdictions offering equivalent protection.
8. Data Retention
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. When no longer required, information is securely deleted or anonymised.
9. Your Rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to request access to personal information held about you; request correction or deletion of inaccurate data; object to processing under certain circumstances; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
